‘Battlegroup Frontlines’ are previewing a behemoth, the German Panzerkampfwagen Tiger I Ausf. E Late, a heavy tank that became one of the most feared of World War II. They’re also throwing in some screenshots of a smaller and not quite so fearsome vehicle, the KdF-Wagen or Volkswagen Beetle. Check them both out here.

A trailer has been released for ‘TEAR’, a single player modification for ‘Half-Life 2′ set in the fantasy world of Mexiria. The video shows off some fantastic scenes, as well as melee fighting and ranged shooting with a crossbow. Find out more about the mod here.

DICE have released information about the ‘Battlefield: Bad Company 2′ Limited Edition, which will provide those who get it with four vehicle unlocks and two weapons from ‘Battlefield 1943′. Players who get it will gain access to the unlocks as soon as they fire up the game, while those with the Standard Edition will have to get them the regular way by playing through the game.
The Limited Edition will be available for the same price as the Standard Edition, but it is recommended that those who are interested in it pre-order a copy as the supply is limited.
‘Battlefield: Bad Company 2′ is set to release on March 2nd, 2010 in North America, and March 5th, 2010, in Europe. For more information visit the official BFBC2 blog.
The unlocks and weapons available are:
- Improved Vehicle Armor – An up-armor package is mounted on all vehicle types, decreasing the effect of both explosive and penetrating warheads, significantly improving vehicle survivability.
- Supreme Vehicle Firepower – Additional weapon packages are mounted for the driver of all armored vehicles, greatly expanding the range of targets the vehicle can successfully engage and destroy.
- Vehicle Motion Sensor – Use this electronics warfare package to locate enemy units in direct proximity to the vehicle.
- Tracer Dart Pistol – This magnetic dart attaches to any vehicle surface, allowing squad members to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight.
- M1A1 Submachine Gun – Reliable but heavy this classic weapon is a powerful force in the hands of any Battlefield veteran.
- M1911 Pistol – Highly customized M1911 are favored for its dependability and the power of its large .45 caliber round.

The folks at IGN have managed to get their grubby hands on Ukrainian developer GSC Game World’s latest installment in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat’, and they’ve posted a hands-on article with their impressions and some videos from the game (see below).
‘Call of Pripyat’ is a direct sequel to the first game in the series, ‘Shadow of Chernobyl’ (the second game, ‘Clear Sky’, was a prequel). Pripyat starts after the events of SoC and follows a new protagonist, a character called Major Alexander Degtyarev, sent out by Ukraine’s Security Service to investigate what happened to the helicopters that were sent into the Zone at the end of the original game.
‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat’ has already been released in the Commonwealth of Independent States (which is made up of former Soviet Republics), but is not set to release in the rest of the world until Q1 2010. The acronym stands for Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber. More information about the game can be found on the official website.

«Project Reality is a free to download game modification for the Battlefield 2 (BF2) retail windows game. The Reality Mod installs alongside the existing game installation allowing both the original game and Project Reality to be played separately without causing conflicts.
The Mod developers aims are to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) within legal and feasible constraints to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community.»
A new update from the ‘Project Reality’ team has hit the internet, with a teaser video promising more of everything in PR v0.9, and previewing the Russian BTR-80 Armoured Personnel Carrier, new kit geometries for the Israel Defense Forces (both below), a bomb truck and much more, which can all be found here.

Polish publisher CD Projekt have released a new trailer for ‘Mount & Blade: Ogniem i Mieczem’, which is being developed by Sich Studio and Snowberry Connection. M&B:OiM is based on the ‘Mount & Blade’ engine, but will be a completely standalone game inspired by Henryk Sienkiewicz’ With Fire and Sword trilogy set in the 17th Century in Poland and the surrounding lands.
There will be five factions included in the game: the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian Empire, the Kingdom of Sweden, Cossack Ukraine, and the Krimean Khanate.
‘Mount & Blade: Ogniem i Mieczem’ is set to be released in Eastern Europe on November 20th. More information about the game can be found here (Polish).
