Sten Mk.II Submachine Gun
The guys at ‘Traction Wars’, a World War II modification for ‘Crysis’, have released a new update previewing the British Sten Mk.II submachine gun and two versions of the German M42 Stielhandgranate. Go here for more renders and historical information about both weapons.

Cyborg (with nanosuit)
New screenshots have been posted for the ‘Cryminator’ modification for ‘Crysis’, a mod based on Terminator: Salvation. The screens show the first shot of a Cyborg (wearing a nanosuit, for now), and city ruins with a Hunter Killer drone in the distance. ‘Cryminator’ is a modification for ‘Crysis’ that is based, mostly, on Terminator: Salvation. The mod developers say that you will be able to play in large open-ended environments reminiscent of games like ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R’ and ‘The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’, and that you will step into the shoes of John Connor in his battle against the machines. Screenshots and videos of the Cyberdyne map have been released, which you can all check out here.

Head-up display (HUD) from the original game
If you are one of the many, many fans of the original Fallout games (’Fallout’ & ‘Fallout 2′) you’re probably going to want to keep an eye or two on the ‘Fallout: Rebirth’ project for ‘Crysis’. The mod will be set during the events of the first game and the developers are promising to provide that special Fallout atmosphere. In a show of progress, the modders have released a screenshot of the mod’s HUD, and provided a comparison shot from the original game. «MechWarrior: Living Legends (MWLL) is a total conversion modification for Crysis. MWLL is at its very core a mix between a First Person Shooter (FPS) and a Simulation (SIM). This will be achieved through the use of a mixed arms massively multiplayer gaming experience where the player takes part in a battle using a variety of vehicles and weapons. MWLL is using the concepts pioneered by the “Battlefield” franchise and more recently Crysis, of a sandbox feel where you get to play what you want and how you want it. ‘Project Prime’ team lead Zurginator has posted a couple of videos showing the work that is in progress on the Overworld and Orpheon levels. This is a mod to keep an eye on – especially for all you Metroid (and Samus Aran!) fans out there. Screenshots and all that good stuff can be found over on the mod’s website.

The above video shows a ‘Monkey Island 2′ level in 3D using CryEngine 2, the game engine used for ‘Crysis’ and its expansion. The developer has used a camera mapping method to project 2D art onto 3D geometry to create a complete 3D level. The level will be released as a mod for ‘Crysis’ and/or ‘Crysis Warhead’. ‘Lightspire’ is a RPG modification for ‘Crysis’. This is a new and exciting mod is still in the early stages of development and so little is known about the storyline or how the mod will be played but they have released a trailer and some in-game screenshots which are shown below.
