Team Chivalry have released a new hotfix that will fix some issues that were introduced in the last patch, unveiled some new weapons that will be added in a future AoC version (two-handed sword, warhammer, & engineer hammer), and revealed their plans for the next big release (which they promise will be BIG). That release will include a interactive campaign system which will introduce a story to the multiplayer experience, new classes (one of which is the Siege Engineer – you can see his hammer below), and an entirely new combat system. The new optimization build that was promised by Team Chivalry a few days ago has now been released. ‘Age of Chivalry’ patch v1.4.1 reduces load and improves FPS, redesigns the shield and blocking detection, and fixes hundreds of bugs. Tree House on Pathfinder map (aoc_pathfinder)
Team Chivalry have posted a small article on where the mod is today and details some of the success it’s had. Accompanying that are some screenshots of a new WIP map, Pathfinder (aoc_pathfinder). Additional images are available on their Facebook page, and they promise news on a new optimization build within the next three to five days.

Crusader Render

July has arrived and so has the much awaited update to the successful `Half-Life 2´ mod `Age of Chivalry´. The second content release contains a new movement system dubbed Toe to Toe, improved combat, three new maps, twenty-five new achievements and a ton of others changes, fixes and additional content. This latest release from Team Chivalry is chock full of medievalish goodness, such as more gore, blunt force head explosions and directional blood splatter. Other improvements include a better hit detection system, stat tracking through Steamworks and new GUI and interfaces. Team Chivalry has released a preview, and they promise that this is the start of a new tradition where they will post an update on what’s going on with the development of the mod every Thursday. Siege your enemy in his castle, and engage him in bloody first-person melée combat, or pick him off from afar with ranged weapons.
