‘Battlegroup Frontlines’ are previewing a behemoth, the German Panzerkampfwagen Tiger I Ausf. E Late, a heavy tank that became one of the most feared of World War II. Weapon Facility Map
More maps have been previewed for the ‘US Intervention’ modification for ‘Battlefield 2′, a mod set during the Persian Gulf War (or First Gulf War) in 1990-91. Those maps are Weapon Facility, a big level called Kashan Desert (known from ‘Project Reality’) which allows you to use the B-52 Stratofortress, and Ar Rawdatayn Oilfield featuring the F-117A Nighthawk & BTR-50 armoured personnel carrier. An update has been released by the ‘Forgotten Hope 2′ team revealing that they are working on a new patch for the mod. The patch will focus on adding more maps to their Normandy Theater of War, but it will also introduce more weapons and vehicles, some of which – like the British Bedford QL truck and Crusader III AA Mk III tank above – you can see in this preview. The ‘Battlegroup Frontlines’ WWII modification for ‘Battlefield 2′ has, after a long hiatus, re-started development and is now being focused on the latter part of the war on the Eastern Front. Starting with the resolution of the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943 the BGF team will recreate the Soviet advance westwards until we reach the Battle of Berlin (1945). MAN HX 18.330 4X4 Truck
A new preview for ‘Project Reality’ has just been posted on their website showcasing a new truck, the MAN HX 18.330 4X4, for the British Armed Forces (more about that here) and the Tavor C.T.A.R. 21 Assault Rifle – 21st Century for the Israel Defense Forces faction which will be added in PR v0.9 (more info here), as well as an overgrowth field system which will allow players to conceal themselves more effectively.

The ‘Project Reality’ v0.87 patch has been released and can be downloaded here. This new version makes PR compatible with the new ‘Battlefield 2′ v1.5 patch, adds a new commander controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and Insurgent/Taliban commander informants. ‘Forgotten Hope 2′ v2.2 is getting released today at 18:00 UTC, but you can get a head start by downloading the torrent right now. The torrent is passworded, so you can install it straight away when they release the password later today.
Thompson Submachine Gun 3d Iron Sights
It looks like masses of new stuff has been added to this new version of FH2, including 3d iron sights (as opposed to 2d, as before), a physics overhaul of all the planes in the mod, a reworking of the tank damage and armour system, five new soldier models, seven new maps, thirty-five new vehicles and the same number of new weapons, as well as the train you can see below:
